• Tip: Use the lesser-known southeast entrance near the Theater of Dionysus for shorter lines and a scenic route to the Parthenon.
• A timed entry system is in place. Reserve a date and time slot before visiting the Acropolis Parthenon. Arrive 30 minutes early, as entry is allowed 15 minutes before or after. Once inside, you can stay as long as you like!
• The Acropolis has limited accessibility for visitors with mobility challenges. While there is an elevator near the South Slope entrance, its operation is managed entirely by the venue and may not always be available. Contact the site a day before your visit (+30 210 3214172 or +30 210 9238470) to confirm availability.
• Don’t forget your trusty earphones for an immersive audio guide experience.
• The app and audio guides require around 200-250 MB of space on your device.
• On free admission days, the Acropolis entry fee is already deducted from the tour price. These days include March 6, April 18, May 18, the last weekend of September, October 28, and the first Sunday of each month from November to March.
• The Acropolis Museum offers free admission on March 6 (Melina Mercouri Day), March 25 (National Holiday), May 18 (International Day of Museums), and October 28 (National Holiday).

Concession eligibility:

Accessibility

Additional information

• Once booked, the travel date and entry time slot for the Acropolis cannot be changed.
• Your selected time slot applies only to the Acropolis. Visits to other sites require separate tickets and must be scheduled through the Smartvisit app after booking.
• Due to ongoing construction works, the main entrance of the Ancient Agora is temporarily closed. Please use the temporary entrance on Apostolou Pavlou Street, near Akamantos Street.
• The combo pass is valid for 3 consecutive days starting from your first entry.

Additional information

• On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve (December 24 and 31), the Acropolis Museum is open from 9am to 3pm.
• Head straight to the entrance of each site and scan your printed or mobile ticket at the validating machines to enter on your own. If you’re joining the Acropolis and Acropolis Museum guided walking tour, meet your guide at the Athenian Tours office, Mitsaion 2, 11742 Athens.
• To avoid peak crowds, arrive when the museum opens at 9am, or go in the late afternoon, around 2pm to 3pm, particularly during the summer months from June to August.
• All visitors must pass through a quick security screening at the entrance. Expect to wait around 5 to 10 minutes at the entrance, although during the peak summer months from June to August, the wait may extend up to 15 minutes.
• You can enter the Acropolis Museum through a separate entrance that leads directly to the exhibition areas, then proceed to scan your ticket at the validating machines located on the ground floor.
• Plan to spend at least 2 to 3 hours inside the museum to explore the permanent exhibits, admire the architecture, and enjoy the café and views.
• Visit the café or restaurant on the second floor to relax mid-visit, recharge, and take in stellar views of the Acropolis.
